Mooncakes is an east-meets-west layette collection... "Palm Beach meets Shanghai" for babies. The light bulb moment: I was at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel gift shop in Miami and saw a cashmere baby kimono set priced at $125, it was sweet but impractical (one of those baby gifts that would never be worn). Bing! Time to design and make baby gifts that are unique, timeless, baby-friendly, and affordable ... and "Mooncakes" was born. I went to Hong Kong (I speak Chinese and China is a long-time love of mine), knocked on many doors to find a good factory, and 6 years later here we are. It has been an amazing journey and I can't wait to see what the future holds.
